December 21, 2010 (2:30 p.m. update) – Here are updates new since our earlier story today, with the latest hazards and casualties of the storm.   Incidents include evacuation of a flooded apartment building, another swift water rescue, traffic accidents, and a sinkhole.

Life guards were called in to assist with evacuating residents from heavy residential flooding at 33rd and Logan Avenue in San Diego, where a flash flood warning was issued.

 

A swift-water rescue was underway this a.m.in Spring Valley at Highway 125 and Alkelton; two occupied vehicles were stuck in several feet of water, Incident Page Network report.

 

At 3929 Cottonwood Street in San Diego, Red Cross and San Diego firefighters assisted 16 dispalced residents at a flooded apartment complex.

 

IPN also reports a large sinkhole filling with water at 4244 Orchard Ave., San Diego.

A serious accident at 9:23 this morning n El Cajon behind the Kawasaki dealer resulted n a serious arm injury to an off-road vehicle rider.
 

In Spring Valley, a vehicle-vs. pedestrian accident at Jamacha Blvd. and Grand Ave. resulted in major trauma earlier today.
 

Flooding is reported at Westbound 94 at Federal Blvd.
