September 19, 2014 (San Diego)--Over 100 different musical acts on eight stages are slated for the 2014 Adams Avenue Street Fair on September 27 and 28, which is one of the largest free music street fairs in California, according to the organizers. It also includes four beer gardens, 300 food and craft vendors, and giant carnival rides.

The Adams Avenue Street Fair was started in 1981 at a single street corner with a headline band made up of San Diego Police officers who performed as community out-reach. Today, the Street Fair has grown to include Adams Avenue Park, several parking lots in a full weekend with six stages on seven blocks along Adams Avenue, to include three beer gardens and over 300 specialty food, arts and craft vendors. The Adams Avenue Street Fair has done much to raise the focus on local, regional, national and international talent.
