June 16, 2022 (Chicago) - Last night, the Padres almost made it to 20 runs, Manny Machado got his 1,500th hit and the Cubs were left in the dust as the Padres displayed an epic show of offense.  They looked for the sweep today with Grossmont High alum Joe Musgrove on the mound against Matt Swarmer for the Cubs.

June 12, 2022 (San Diego) - Yesterday was an exciting day, with the Padres walking off game one of a doubleheader, but losing game two big, thus giving up their opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the NL West.  Today, the Rockies tried to even the series in the rubber game with German Marquez on the mound for Colorado against Blake Snell.

June 9, 2022 (Eugene, Ore.) - The Aztecs 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams wrapped up their seasons at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Thursday evening, at the prestigious Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. The 4x400m team placed 13th overall, while the 4x100m relay team came in 19th.

May 22, 2022 (Tempe) - The San Diego State softball team saw its season come to end at the NCAA Tempe Regional final with an 8-4 loss at No. 8/5 Arizona State Sunday afternoon at Farrington Stadium. The Mountain West champion Aztecs finished 39-16 (.709), the second-best record in program history.

May 22, 2022 (Tempe) - The San Diego State softball team spotted host No. 8/5 Arizona State eight runs in the top of the first inning and couldn’t quite come back in an 11-8 loss in game three of the NCAA Tempe Regional Saturday afternoon at Farrington Stadium. With the loss, the Aztecs (38-15) will play the winner of No. 22/20 LSU and Cal State Fullerton in an elimination game later tonight, while the Pac-12 champion Sun Devils (41-9) advance to the regional final at 3 p.m. PT Sunday.
