July 30, 2016 (San Diego) - After receiving a rude homecoming by the Reds last night, the Padres looked to rebound tonight. Christian Friedrich started for San Diego against a guy that the Padres have seen a lot: Anthony Desclafani for the Reds.
Unfortunately, that didn't get off to a great start. Billy Hamilton singled in the third, scoring Eugenio Suarez and the Reds took a 1-0 lead.
But Alexi Amarista saved the game in the sixth with a two-out single that scored Ryan Schimpf and tied the game at one.
The score was still deadlocked at one in the ninth, so we went to extra innings again. But not for long, because in the 10th, Adam Rosales crushed a walk-off homer to left center and the Padres took game two 2-1.
Game three is a matinee, as is always the case on a Sunday, tomorrow at 1:40 p.m. Paul Clemens gets his second start as a Padre against Homer Bailey for Cincy.
