April 9, 2016 (Denver) - The Padres announced today that starting pitcher Tyson Ross is now on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 5th, Dennis Lin of the Union Tribune reports.
The Padres say that Ross suffered shoulder inflammation. This clears a spot for newly acquired pitcher Brad Hand.
There is no timetable for Ross as of yet, but the Padres announced that James Shields will take his place for Sunday’s finale against Colorado.
