February 11, 2017 (Santee) – A passenger was struck and killed by a trolley operated by Metropolitan Transit System last night at 6:20 p.m. The fatal collision took place in the 8800 block of Cuyamaca Street in Santee.
Santee paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased. The Sheriff's Traffic Accident Reconstructionist (STAR) team responded to investigate the collision which is ongoing. No passengers on the trolley were injured as a result of this collision
No identify or description of the victim has been provided, pending results of the Medical Examiner’s investigation, said Joe Passalacqua with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
