April 12, 2016 (Philadelphia) - Night Two of the Padres-Phillies series saw Robbie Erlin start for San Diego and Charlie Morton for the Phillies.

This was a weird one and a first for the Padres' young 2016 season.  The game was a pitchers’ duel through six innings until the home half of the sixth when Odubel Herrera tripled to right field to score Tyler Goeddel and break the tie and give the Phillies a 1-0 lead.

Absolutely nothing happened.  I’m serious.  Until the Phillies’ half of the eighth, that is, when they loaded the bases on walks. The Padres had a shot to complete a double play and end the inning, but an error by Brett Wallace scored two runs and the Phillies extended their lead to 3-0.

That would be the final score.  This was the most boring game the Padres have had so far.  The Pads look for a better start tomorrow with Colin Rea taking the mound against Jerad Eckhoff for the Phillies.
