March 22, 2018 (La Mesa) -- Guests got into the festive spirit at our East County Dining Club's recent Mardi Gras party, held at the San Pasqual Winery Tasting Rooom in the heart of La Mesa's downtown village.

If you missed the fun, there's still time to RSVP for our next dining club event at Giardino's Italian Cucino in Lemon Grove on Thursday, March 29. Find the delicious details here - and RSVP by March 25 to reserve space!

Our thanks to the winery for hosting our fun-filled event, and to Rita's Catering for cooking up red beans and rice with jambalaya-style chicken, and to Rebecca  Jefferis-Williamson for rounding up the best southern-style desserts in town from king's cake to bread pudding with bourbon sauce.

We also thank our generous prize donors: San Pasqual Winery, Bayou Brothers, Visionary Dance Theatre, Prete a Porter Salon, Anytime Fitness, Club Pilates, Maxwell’s House of Books, Amethyst Moon, Re-Animated Records, Frances Heath (Hornblower Whale Watching passes) Brad Bruce (wines) , and author Joyce Strand.

All proceeds from our dining club events benefit East County Magazine, East County Wildfire & Emergency Alerts, and East County Dining Club, projects of the nonprofit 501c3 Heartland Coalition.
