Events include a deep-pit barbecue, parade, live music with starlight dancing, craft fair, horseshoe tournament, kids' activities, prizes and much more.

Festivities kick off Friday the 29th at 5 p.m. in the Pine Valley County Park with what organizers describe as “that famous deep pit BBQ dinner cooked to perfection and served to you by the Mountain Empire Men’s Club.” Live music and dancing under the stars follows until 10 p.m., with music provided bythe Emerald River Band.

On Saturday, start off the day with breakfast burritos at the Pine Valley Clubhouse prepared by the Pine Valley Community Church from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

After that, make get your spots early to watch what’s billed as the “best parade in the back country.” The parade starts at 9 a.m. and makes its way along historic Old Highway 80 between the library and the Pine Valley school.

Following the parade, head on down to the Pine Valley County Park. Here you will find craft vendors, food, fun including a Rock Wall, Extreme Air Trampoline, a horseshoe tournament, Face Painting, Shave Ice, Lemonade, Sweet Tea, Softball Tournament, Mountain Empire High School athletic merchandise, and more.
