POLICE SEEK HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER WHO FLED CRASH SCENE IN OTAY AFTER SERIOUSLY INJURING PEDESTRIAN

Silver Hyundai or Kia sedan has broken headlight and is missing a mirror
 
January 6, 2012 (Otay)— A pedestrian identified as Gloria Serrano was hit and seriously injured at 5:43 p.m. this evening at the intersection of Otay Lakes Road and Elmhurst in the Otay area of east Chula Vista. Chula Vista Police seek the public’s help to locate the driver, who fled the scene. 
 
Witnesses observed Serrano crossing eastbound across Otay Lakes Road when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Her right arm was severely injured and she has been taken to a hospital, said Captain Gary Wedge with the Chula Vista Police.
 
The vehicle is described as a silver Hyundai or Kia sedan with a broken right front headlight and missing the right side rear view mirror.
 

The cause of the collision has not been determined.  The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau is currently investigating the collision. Anyone having any information about this crime is encouraged to call the Chula Vista Police Department at (619) 691-5151.
