POLICE SEEK MAN WHO APPROACHED GIRL AT LA MESA BIG LOTS STORE

March 22, 2009 (La Mesa)--La Mesa Police ask the public's help in identifying a man who solicited a phone number from a young teen outside the Big Lots store on Lake Murray Boulevard last night. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward.

On March 21at about 7:34 PM, a 13 year old girl was contacted by a male suspect in front of the Big Lots Store at 6145 Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa. The suspect, described as a 40 year old Asian male, five foot, eight inches tall, 180 lbs, medium build with black hair, asked the girl if she wanted something to eat. When the girl said no, the man then asked for her telephone number. The girl again refused and walked away from the man. The suspect was associated with an unknown type newer silver four door vehicle.
