September 13, 2011 (Poway) – A 36-year-old Poway woman suffered a head injury and additional injuries when she was struck by a white pickup while walking on Valle Verde Road at Dorset Way in Poway. The accident occurred at 10:56 this morning.
The driver, 58, also a Poway resident, lost control of his vehicle while traveling northboundo n Valley Verde Road, according to Sgt. Daniel Vengler with the San Diego Sheriff’s office. The driver was not injured.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Palomar Hospital. As of 4 p.m. today, she was listed in critical condition. An investigation is continuing.
