Local Democratic candidates will also be on hand

September 27, 2012 (La Mesa) -- The La Mesa-Foothills Democratic Club will sponsor a 2012 Presidential Debate Watch Party at the La Mesa Community Center on Wednesday, October 3rd, at the La Mesa Community Center, 4975 Memorial Drive in La Mesa. The Club has arranged to have a large screen TV to view the faceoff between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.

A special feature of the evening will be an analysis of the debate by San Diego County Democratic Chairman Jess Durfee, fresh from his participation as a delegate to the National Convention. The Club is ensuring a casual and festive atmosphere by providing a light dinner, snacks, and beverages for those who attend.

Social hour is from 5:30-6 p.m., followed by the televised debate from 6-7:30 and analysis from 7:30-8 p.m.

After Durfee’s analysis, the Club will have brief introductions of local Democratic candidates and a discussion of some of the issues that will appear on the November ballot.
