ACLU APPLAUDS PRIVACY BILL SIGNED BY GOVERNOR BROWN

October 13, 2015 (Sacramento)—In a win for privacy advocates, Governor Jerry Brown has signed a bill that prohibits law enforcement from accessing people’s private personal electronic data in most circumstances unless they first obtain a warrant or a court order.
