PURSE SNATCHERS NABBED

February 4, 2010 (La Mesa) -- La Mesa Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of a woman at Grossmont Center on January 21st.   The victim suffered a cut on her hand when a suspect attempted to slice the strap of her purse to steal it.

 

On February 2, La Mesa Police Detectives arrested the driver of a vehicle suspected of being involved in the robbery.  David Ennis, 54, of El Cajon, is on parole and was arrested at the El Cajon Parole Office, then booked into County Jail for that charge.

On February 4, 2010 at approximately 2:30 P.M., La Mesa Police Detectives members of the Special Enforcement Detail, and U.S. Marshalls arrested a suspected accomplice, Kevin Mann, in the 3400 block of College Avenue in San Diego. Mann, also a parolee, was found to be in possession of heroin and a syringe.

Mann was booked into San Diego County Jail on the following charges:

• Robbery – 211 PC
• Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 245(a)(1) PC
• Possession of Narcotics – 11350 H&S
• Possession of a Syringe – 4140 B&P
• Parole Violation – 3056 PC
