RAIN, HIGH WINDS FORECAST FOR REGION

January 30, 2011 (San Diego’s East County) – Rain is likely this afternoon and tonight, with a chance of thundershowers. A wind advisory has been issued for mountain and desert areas, where strong westerly winds are forecast with gusts over 50 mph. Winds are expected to increase in intensity, with gusts over 50 mph Tuesday night through Thursday.

 

The snow level is expected to reach 4500 feet tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
