RIVERSIDE GANG MEMBERS BUSTED FOR SCHOOL BURGLARIES IN VALLEY CENTER

May 2, 2011 (Valley Center) – Two of four suspects in a pair of school burglaries in Valley Center have been arrested. Two other suspects remain at large, including one who has been identified.

 

The suspects are all documented “Dorner Block Crip” street gang members from Moreno Valley in Riverside, according to Sgt. Bob Bishop with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

 

Valley Center Lower Elementary School was burglarized around 3 a.m. on Monday morning, April 25th. On April 26th at 3:15 a.m., Valley Center Middle School was also burglarized. In both cases, classrooms containing school computers were targeted. Loss to the district is estimated at $70,000 worth of McIntosh computers.

 

Detectives from the Valley Center Sheriff’s station determined that the same four suspects burglarized both schools.

Detectives Jim Blackmon and Duane DiBene began an extensive investigation into the burglaries. By Wednesday April 27th they had identified Trevor WILLIAMS (19), James HARRIS (22) and Jermarr SESSION (22) as three of the four suspects.

 

On Saturday April 30th, detectives from the Valley Center Sheriff’s Station along with detectives from the Moreno Valley Police Department served several arrest and search warrants in the cities of Riverside and Moreno Valley. Williams and Major were taken into custody and later booked into the Riverside County jail on $100,000 bail San Diego County Superior Court warrants. They will be returned to San Diego County later this week.

 

The Moreno Valley Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are currently searching for Session.  A fourth suspect has been tentatively identified. The investigation is continuing.
