September 11, 2016 (San Diego) - The Padres wrapped up their series with the Rockies today with Edwin Jackson on the mound against Chad Bettis.

Chuck Nasty struck first for the Rockies in the fourth, eliminating Jackson’s perfect game.  Charlie Blackmon hit a solo homer and the Rockies took a 1-0 lead.

Chuck Nasty did it again in the fifth with a single to score Nick Hundley and the Rockies led 2-0 midway through the game.

Wil Myers gave the Padres some reprieve in the sixth with a triple that scored Travis Jankowski and the Padres cut the lead in half 2-1.  Yangervis Solarte finished the job with a sac fly to drive in Myers and the game was tied at two.  And it was a new ballgame; we went to extra innings.

But they didn’t last long; Mark Reynolds hit a solo homer in the 10th to give Colorado a 3-2 lead.  That’s all they would need to hang on and split the series with the Padres at two games apiece.

The Padres head on the road again to take on the Giants.  Game one is at 7:15 tomorrow night.  Paul Clemens will face Jeff Samardzija.
