August 6, 2019 (San Diego) — On Thursday, September 19,  Georgeanne Irvine, author and director of corporate publishing for San Diego Zoo Global Press, will give a behind-the-scenes look at the zoo’s new book publishing endeavor at the next program meeting for the San Diego Professional Editors Network (SD/PEN). Launched last year, San Diego Zoo Global Press is dedicated to publishing books that inspire children and adults to care about wildlife and conservation. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the San Diego Health Services Complex.

February 26, 2017 (San Diego) — On Thursday, March 16, 2017, three seasoned technical editors and writers—Sara Feldman, Mark Fogg, and Elizabeth Gray—will participate in a panel discussion at the next program meeting of the San Diego Professional Editors Network (SD/PEN). The panel, “Technically Speaking: The Nuts and Bolts on Technical Editing and Writing,” will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the San Diego County Health Services Complex.

October 23, 2014 (San Diego) —San Diego Professional Editors Network (SD/PEN) invites you to join a field trip and meeting on Thursday, November 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Clearstory Creative Digital Publishers (8320 Miramar Mall, San Diego 92121).  Host and presenter Debara Medina, CEO and owner of Clearstory Creative Digital Publishers, will show you the behind-the-scenes workings of a book publisher.
