Bates Nut Farm - Nuts may have made Bates famous, but now there is over 5000 square feet of gifts to be found on the farm at the Farmer’s Daughter located in the original barn and the Bates gift shop. It is fun to browse through the nooks and crannies of home and garden accessories, kitchen items, baby, stationery, collectibles, candles, personal care, jewelry, inspirational books, greeting cards, seasonal items and much more. There is a little something for everyone at the 100 acre ranch.

Bates Nut Farm started with walnuts, but now purchases nuts from all over the world. In 1921, Gilbert and Beatrice Bates, purchased the Walnut Slope Ranch in Valley Center. They raised their family of five boys. Little did they know that 80 years later their family farm would provide joy and pleasure for five generations of their family, and also for the thousands of visitors from around the world.

Bates Nut Farm is located 20 minutes east of I-15 through Escondido at 15954 Woods Valley Rd., Valley Center, CA 92082.  Farm and Store hours are 9-5 daily.  Entrance to the Farm, Craft Fair and parking are free.
