SANTEE HOMICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS LETICIA ARROYO

October 8, 2016 (Santee) — The woman found dead by her roommate on October 4th in Santee has been identified as Leticia Arroyo, 34. “The manner of death has been ruled a homicide,” said Lieutenant Kenneth Nelson with the Sheriff’s homicide unit.  “The autopsy for this case has been sealed.”

Detectives are actively following up on multiple leads and attempting to identify the suspect(s) involved, Lt. Nelson added. Therefore, the cause of death and other information regarding the victim and crime scene cannot be released at this time. As the investigation progresses, additional information may be released.

The woman’s roommate called 911 to report finding the victim unconscious with trauma to her upper body.  Deputies and paramedics responded at 10:39 p.m. on October4th to the residence at 8837 Mission Greens Road #3 in Santee, but the woman was dead.

A neighbor told NBC 7 news that he heard a loud bang and saw a man leaving the victim’s home around 8:15 p.m.  Fox 5 reports blood stains were seen outside the home, but it is unknown if that was from the suspect or victim.
