November 10, 2023 (Sacramento) - The San Diego State women’s cross country team concluded their season with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA West Regionals on Friday morning. It is their highest placement at an NCAA regional meet since 2005, when they finished seventh.

October 28, 2023 (Boise) - The San Diego State women’s cross country team competed at the Mountain West Championships on Friday morning, finishing seventh overall in the field of 11 conference teams. The placement marks their best at the conference championship meet since the 2010 season.

October 14, 2023 (Riverside) - History was made on Saturday morning with Jessica Kain winning the Highlander Invitational 6k race and breaking her own school record in the process. Eva Rethmeier also moved into second on SDSU’s all-time list as the duo led the Aztecs to a season-best team finish in Riverside.

September 22, 2023 (Eugene, Ore.) - San Diego State women’s cross country raced in their second meet of the season in the pacific northwest, facing some of the best competition in the country at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. As a team, the Aztecs finished 12th of 14 teams in the scoring.

The Aztecs placed 31st (out of 35) and were led by Steele Canyon alum Carlene Masar who finished in 21:44.5 (111th), a new career-best 6k time.

Running in temperatures below freezing, SDSU was paced by the sophomore duo of Carlene Masar (22:26.2) and Marissa D’Atri (22:34.1), who finished in 59th and 61st respectively.
