November 10, 2023 (Sacramento) - The San Diego State women’s cross country team concluded their season with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA West Regionals on Friday morning. It is their highest placement at an NCAA regional meet since 2005, when they finished seventh.

October 14, 2023 (Riverside) - History was made on Saturday morning with Jessica Kain winning the Highlander Invitational 6k race and breaking her own school record in the process. Eva Rethmeier also moved into second on SDSU’s all-time list as the duo led the Aztecs to a season-best team finish in Riverside.

September 1, 2023 (Nipomo, Calif.) - The San Diego State cross country team kicked off their season on the central coast, competing in the Big West Preview hosted by Cal Poly. Overall, the team finished sixth among the 10 teams racing led by Jessica Kain’s third place finish.

November 11, 2022 (Seattle) - San Diego State cross country finished 26th at the 2022 NCAA West Regionals on Friday morning at Chambers Creek Regional Park.  Jessica Kain crossed the tape first for the Aztecs, leading the squad with a time of 20:40.3 and setting a career PR.

The Aztecs were led by Jessica Kain who finished 17th overall out of 265 runners and broke the school 6k record.

September 17, 2022 (Riverside) - The San Diego State cross country team finished 14th out of 31 teams on Saturday morning at the UC Riverside Invitational held on the campus of UC Riverside. Jessica Kain paced the Aztecs as she finished 17th overall out of a field of 265 runners.

November 12, 2021 (Sacramento) - The Aztec cross country team placed 23^rd at the NCAA West Regionals at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, Calif. Friday morning, SDSU’s highest finish at regionals since 2005.

September 1, 2021 (Irvine) - The Aztec cross country team placed third at the UC Irvine’s Anteater Opener, their first meet of the 2021 season. Jessica Kain was the top Aztec finisher, coming in sixth place with a time of 14:22.5 in the 4k.

October 19, 2019 (Sunnyvale, Calif.) - Four runners set collegiate-best times to lead the San Diego State cross country team Saturday morning at the Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Marissa D’Atri, Carlene Masar, Alex Lomeli and Naomi Smitham all set collegiate bests over the 6,000-meter course at Baylands Regional Park.

August 31, 2019 (Brea, Calif.) - The Aztec cross country team finished in eighth place out of 21 teams at the Mark Covert Classic 5k at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, Calif. Saturday morning. Sophomores Carlene Masar and Marissa D’Atri paced the Aztecs with a time of 19:15.4.
