May 18, 2017 (San Diego) - A school-record six San Diego State softball players have been named to the all-NFCA West Region teams, the NFCA announced Thursday. The six selections easily broke the Aztecs’ previous best of four (2013 and 2015) as only six teams in the country had more players on their all-region team than SDSU this year.

May 16, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State softball junior Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) has been named the Mountain West Player of the Year, while Shelby Thompson (Benicia, Calif.) was chosen as the MW Freshman of the Year, the league announced Wednesday.

May 16, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State softball’s Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. It is the second weekly award of the season for Peres and fourth of her career.

May 13, 2017 (Reno) - The San Diego State softball team broke a 6-6 tie with two runs in the top of the sixth inning and five more in the seventh en route to a 13-6 victory over Nevada Saturday afternoon in Reno. The win gave the Aztecs (31-18, 15-9 MW) the series and a second-place finish in the final Mountain West standings.

May 12, 2017 (Reno) - The San Diego State softball saw its five-game winning streak snapped in a 5-4, eight-inning loss Friday afternoon at Nevada. The loss dropped the Aztecs to 30-18 overall and 14-9 in Mountain West play.

May 11, 2017 (Reno) - The San Diego State softball team used a 14-hit performance to outlast Nevada 11-9 Thursday afternoon in Reno, Nev. The Aztecs improved to 30-17 overall and 14-8 in Mountain West play with their fifth consecutive victory, while the Wolf Pack dropped to 27-22 and 12-10.

May 6, 2017 (San Diego) - Shelby Thompson (Benicia, Calif.) hit a pair of home runs in the first game and Ashley Ercolano (Poway, Calif./Poway HS) hit a grand slam in the final home game of her career in the nightcap to lift San Diego State to a doubleheader sweep over UNLV Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium.

May 5, 2017 (San Diego) - On Cinco de Mayo, Aztecs softball welcomed the UNLV Rebels to Aztec softball stadium.  Senior Morgan Ettinger started on the mound for the Rebels against another senior, Erica Romero, for the Aztecs.

April 30, 2017 (Logan, Utah) - Shelby Thompson (Benicia, Calif.) and Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) each hit grand slams to lead the San Diego State softball team to a 15-5, five-inning victory over Mountain West-leading Utah State in the series finale Sunday in Logan, Utah. The Aztecs improved to 26-17 overall and 10-8 in MW play, while the Aggies dropped to 32-12 and 14-6.

April 29, 2017 (Logan, Utah) - The San Diego State softball team was swept in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Utah State. The Aztecs (25-17, 9-8 MW) opened with a 4-2 loss to the Aggies (32-11, 14-5 MW) before falling by a 4-1 score on a walk-off three-run home run in the nightcap.

April 23, 2017 (Boise) - The San Diego State softball team scored 10 runs over the first four innings and never looked back in a 10-6 win Sunday afternoon at Boise State. The victory gave the Aztecs (25-15, 9-6 MW) the series over the Broncos (25-17, 7-11 MW).

April 22, 2017 (Boise) - The San Diego State softball team run-ruled Boise State 14-0 in five innings to even the weekend series Saturday at Boise State. The Aztecs (24-15, 8-6 MW) outhit the Broncos (25-16, 7-10 MW), 14-3, in the game.

April 15, 2017 (San Diego) - Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) homered twice and Erica Romero (Corona, Calif.) tossed a five-hit shutout to lift San Diego State to an 8-0, six-inning win over New Mexico Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium. If was the fifth consecutive victory for the Aztecs (23-14, 7-5 MW), who swept the series with the Lobos (19-18, 5-7 MW) by a combined score of 22-3.

April 14, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State run-ruled New Mexico 10-2 in five innings for its fourth consecutive victory Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (22-14), who came into the weekend in a tie for seventh place, are now in a tie for second in the Mountain West standings at 6-5 after clinching the series over the Lobos (19-17, 5-6 MW).

April 13, 2017 (San Diego) - Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) homered and drove in three runs to lead San Diego State to a 4-1 victory over New Mexico in the series opener Thursday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was the third consecutive win for the Aztecs (21-14, 5-5 MW).
