August 10, 2015 (San Diego)—Local student filmmakers may soon take home top honors in the motion picture industry.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Pacific Southwest Chapter has nominated three films produced by students at San Diego State University (SDSU) for Emmy Awards in the Student Programming category, the SDSU news center reports.

The nominees include “Anything But Frogs,” a romantic comedy in the long form category produced, directed and written by David Oleary.  Two other films were nominated in the short form category:  “The Infirmary,” a science fiction work by Taylor Sedensky, and “SMILE,” a comedy produced by Jason Miller.

No doubt the nominations will bring smiles to faces of each of these talented student filmmakers.
