In 2022, San Diego State will serve as the host institution and, should the Aztecs qualify for the NCAA Tournament, will not be eligible to play in San Diego.

The games are scheduled to be played on March 18 and March 20.

San Diego State and Viejas Arena previously hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in 2001, 2006 and 2014.
