SKATEBOARDER BEATEN AND ROBBED IN LA MESA

August 16, 2010 (La Mesa) – Five men beat and robbed a male victim who was walking near 7900 La Mesa Boulevard Saturday at 1:46 a.m. The assailants, all described as black male adults 18-20 years old, stole and victim’s skateboard and wallet. The victim was knocked to the ground, punched and kicked.

The suspects were last seen entering two white vehicles, one possibly a Toyota Camry, heading toward University Avenue.

 

The victim sustained minor cuts and bruising, but refused medical attention. A search of the area for the suspects was negative.

 

The suspects are still outstanding. Two of the men were described as average build. One wore a white shirt and a red baseball cap, the other wore a black shirt and blue pants.

The investigation in continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400.
