December 30, 2010 (San Diego's East County)--Videographer Billy Ortiz created a special "Best of East County" video to entertain guests at our holiday party.  Missed the party? Not to worry! You can enjoy this special "Best of East County" video here.    View more of Billy's videos here.

Billy has left seemingly no stone unturned in his quest to search out awesome sights in East County.  How many do you recognize?

Watch for more exciting videos on each of East County's regions in the coming year, when we launch our soon-to-debut East County Guide.

Other highlights from our holiday party included presentation of Volunteer of the Year awards to videography Billy Ortiz, photographer Dennis Richardson, and La Mesa correspondent Kristin Kjaero.

We also gave away thousands of dollars in prizes, feasted on hearty fare served up at Cafe 67, and savored wine tasting from La Serenissima Winery while enjoying some great music.  Our special thanks to Brenda from Cafe 67, who donated all the food and was wonderful to work with. Please stop by and tell you heard about her restaurant at East County Magazine!

We also appreciate Tony from La Serenissima braving heavy traffic on Highway 67 to come down all the way from Warner Springs, our wonderfully talented musicians Paul Nichols and Cindy Burnham, and the many people who donated prizes especially ourmajor sponsors who donated items valued at $100 or more: Viejas, Nights of the Sound Table, Connect Direct, Dr. Carolle's Wellness Center, and Kamps Propane in Alpine.

Thanks to all who helped out--and a happy New Year's to all!
