STRANGER ACCUSED OF TRYING TO LURE 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL INTO CAR IN ALPINE

September 17, 2014 (Alpine) – Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who reportedly tried to lure a 12-year-old Alpine girl into his grey car as she walked home from the Alpine Youth Center with her little brother in the 2000 block of Arnold Way today, NBC San Diego reports. The girl’s mother told the Alpine Community Network that the man asked, “Where is your mother? Come here,” then sped off when a neighbor confronted him.

According to the ACN, the victim’s mother advised that a man resembling the suspect has been seen by neighbors driving very slowly and suspicious. She provided the following description of the suspect and vehicle gathered from neighbors and kids in the area:

  • OLDER MODEL MATTE GREY CAR (almost looks like it is a    primer or spray paint)

ROOF OF CAR IS A DARKER SHADE OF GREY

MAY HAVE A CRACKED WINDSHIELD

MIDDLE AGED WHITE MALE about 35 – 40

LIGHT SCRUFF/STUBBLE ON FACE

VERY THIN ARMS

WEARING A RED HAT

FULLY SLEEVED TATTOOED

LOOKED VERY NERVOUS AND SKETCHY, APPEARED TO BE ON DRUGS

Alpine Sheriff has asked that if anyone sees this vehicle call 911 IMMEDIATELY and report that a suspicious vehicle that has already been previously reported has been spotted. Also please try to get a plate number.
