SUICIDE OFF BRIDGE IN LEMON GROVE: HIGHWAY 94 CLOSED

Update: The victim has been identified as Wesley Stewart Grove, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner. No other information has yet been released.

 

August 2, 2011 (Lemon Grove) -- An individual has committed suicide by jumping off a bridge and landing in freeway lanes on Highway 94 eastbound at Lemon Grove Avenue around 6 p.m.  The freeway was shut down; one lane is now open but traffic remains slow so alternate routes are advised.
