June 10, 2010 (Rancho San Diego) – Celebrating East County’s multitude of cultures from around the world, the Rancho San Diego-Jamul Chamber of Commerce is organizing a Summer Music & Culture Festival. The event, which is free to the public, will be held Sunday, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College.
Cultural performers such as dancers, singers and bands as we ll as artisans, crafters and food/beverage vendors are invited to participate as sponsors.
“Be a part of supporting the Rancho San Diego family day at the Music & Culture Festival, strolling down the pathways of a beautifully landscaped venue while enjoying music and sampling exotic foods and beverages,” said Valerie Harrison, president of the RSDJ Chamber. Face-painting and other activities for children will also be available at the early-bird event. Vendors registering before July 8 will receive an early-bird discount.
The festival will celebrate cultures from around the world, including the growing array of diverse heritages in East County, a region that has become home to many refugees, immigrants, and descendants of immigrants from across the globe.
