ENGLISH-LANGUAGE CLASSES AT EAST COUNTY COLLEGE DISTRICT PREPARE IRAQI IMMIGRANTS FOR THE WORKFORCE

 March 31, 2012 (Rancho San Diego) -- A pilot program for recent Iraqi immigrants that teaches English in the context of office work is being offered at Cuyamaca College through a partnership between the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District and San Diego County.

GROSSMONT HIGH SCHOOL BREAKS GROUND AT HUMANITIES BUILDING


January 19, 2012 (El Cajon)--Grossmont High School and Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) broke ground last week for a new humanities building at Grossmont High School. The two-story, 35,000-square-foot building now under construction is the largest classroom project funded by the Proposition U construction program passed by voters in 2008.

GUHSD HOSTS “iPARENT” EVENT SEPTEMBER 17

 

 

September 13, 2011 (San Diego’s East County) -- Parents, students, staff and community members from throughout Eastern San Diego County are welcome to attend the 2nd Annual iParent event, sponsored by the Grossmont Union High School District.

 

The event, which will feature keynote speakers Marsha Dodson and Dr. Darlene Willis and their presentationEmpowering Parents: A Guide to Taking Control of Your Child's Educational Journey, will take place on Saturday, September 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Vallhalla High School.
