IIPAY NATION OF SANTA YSABEL PLANS TRIBAL CANNABIS ENTERPRISE

September 25, 2016 (Santa Ysabel)—The Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel has contracted with a county-licensed medical marijuana dispensary to use the Tribe’s former casino facility to cultivate marijuana for San Diego medical marijuana patients.

The tribe announced the deal in an e-mail sent to tribal members on September 20th, adding that subsequent meetings have been held between Tribal government officials (including representatives from the Santa Ysabel Tribal Development Corporation and Santa Ysabel Tribal Cannabis Regulatory Agency) and representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s office, San Diego Sheriff’s office, and a site walk-through with a representative of the District Attorney’s office.

MEET THE WINEMAKERS: MARCH 16 AT SANTA YSABEL CASINO

 

March 1, 2013 (Santa Ysabel) – You can savor local vintages and meet winemakers from our region at Santa Ysabel Casino’s “Meet the Winemakers” event on March 16 from 3-6 p.m. Participating vintners include J.Jenkins, Woof ‘N Rose, and Witch Creek wineries.

The event costs $30 and includes gourmet appetizers, wine tasting from local vintners, $5 in slot machine play, and $5 toward tasting on a new state-of-the-art wine system.

SANTA YSABEL CASINO ROBBED OF “LARGE AMOUNT” OF MONEY

October 18, 2011 (Santa Ysabel) - When someone leaves a casino carrying a large sum of cash, it's typically a jackpot winner. But early Monday morning, a thief  pulled off a heist at the Santa Ysabel Casino, stealing a large amount of money from a secure location.
