HUNTER OPPONENTS STAGED “EMPTY CHAIR” TOWN HALL

September 5, 2017 (El Cajon) -- Hundreds of people showed up for a rally and empty chair town hall hosted by Indivisible at Cuyamaca Community College, in Congressman Duncan Hunter Jr.’s Congressional District on August 26th  The event was organized  by Indivisible, a group opposed to Hunter, after the Congressman failed to host a second town hall in his district following a contentious town hall back in March in Ramona where hundreds lined up and could not get into the packed venue.

June 30, 2017 (El Cajon) -- Spurred on by a mentally ill homeless woman who made her street home in front of a shuttered El Cajon motel on East Main Street earlier this month and numerous homeless individuals settling in central El Cajon, some 50 El Cajon residents gathered in the Community Room at the El Cajon Police Department for a town hall meeting last Monday night hosted by El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells and Chief of Police Jeff Davis.

CHRISTMAS IN ALPINE HOME TOUR, DECEMBER 9

November 15, 2012 (Alpine) -- The Alpine Woman’s Club will hold its eighth annual “Christmas in Alpine” Holiday Home Tour on Sunday, December 9th from 10a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be an opportunity to stroll through five stunning country estates and view one of Alpine’s beautiful churches, which will be decorated for the season. The historic town hall will also be open from 1:30 on for ticket holders.  Refreshments will be served.  The tour tickets are $30.00.

DUNCAN HUNTER ANNOUNCES "DEFENDING OUR DEFENDERS" SAN DIEGO EVENT JUNE 13

 
June 9, 2012 (Washington, D.C.) -- U.S. Representative Duncan Hunter (CA-52) announced that he will be joined by U.S. Representative Randy Forbes (VA-4) in hosting "Defending Our Defenders," at the Shiley Theatre at the University of San Diego on Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m..
 
The town hall-style event will begin with an introduction from a Congressional delegation and feature a moderated "open mic" for attendees to express opinions and ask questions pertaining to defense budget cuts and the regional impact.

SILENCE IS WORSE THAN VIOLENCE - YOUTH TOWN HALL MEETING MARCH 2

 

 

February 23, 2012 (San Diego) – On Friday, March 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be a Youth Town Hall meeting with the theme of Silence is Worse than Violence held at Joe and Vi Jacobs Center, Celebration Hall, 404 Euclid Avenue in San Diego.  It will provide a safe place to address the challenges youth face, and to come together to create solutions that strengthen youth voice, leadership and community engagement.

February 17, 2012 (San Diego) – State Senator Juan Vargas will join with California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones to co-host a town hall meeting Thursday, February 23 from 6-8 p.m.  Topics will include how to file complaints with the Dept. of Insurance, disaster preparedness and recovery, and senior issues such as annuities, Medicare advantage and supplements, scams, and long-term care insurance.
