EL CAJON ASKS RESIDENTS' INPUT ON COMMUNITY AND HOUSING PRIORITIES

November 18, 2013 (El Cajon) – The City of El Cajon receives approximately $1 million in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds and $420,000 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Funds each year for housing and community development projects.  The City invites the public to have input in how the City programs this money over the next five years.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY’S 2012 HOMELESS COUNT SHOWS 8.6% RISE, EARLY RESULTS SHOW

 
April 2, 2012 (San Diego)--Preliminary results are in from the Regional Task Force on the Homeless (RTFH) annual count of homeless countywide, the ‘WeALLCount Campaign’ conducted on January 27, 2012. This year more than 700 volunteers (550 in 2011) participated, including many community and elected leaders. According to the findings, the total number of homeless  countywide is now 9,800 people—an 8.9% rise from last year.
