THE LITTLE MERMAID, A MUSICAL, AT POWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

January 24, 2024 (Poway) -- Poway High School is presenting a musical rendition of Disney’s The Little Mermaid at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. The show is scheduled to take place in early February 2024. The tickets for the show are priced between $15.38 and $25.63 (including the service fee). The show promises to be an affordable, enjoyable and memorable experience for attendees.

If you are interested in attending the show, you can purchase tickets from the Poway High School Titan Theatre. The website also provides information on the seating arrangement.

POWAY ONSTAGE ANNOUNCES THE 2018/2019 PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE SERIES

June 3, 2018 (Poway) -- “Country crooners, ‘80s hitmakers and man’s best friend are among the headlining talent Poway OnStage have lined-up for their 2018/19 Professional Performance Series at the Poway Performing Arts Center. This season, we are delighted to welcome old friends and new talents to the Poway stage,” says Poway OnStage President and CEO Michael Rennie.  “Returning Poway OnStage alum include perennial Poway favorites and equal opportunity offenders The Capitol Steps, guitar masters the Romeros; and celebrity talents from Dancing with the Stars and American Idol performing the all-new Motown with a Twist.” 

“First time appearances include  ‘80s hitmakers Starship featuring Mickey Thomas; the Indian-dance-by-way-of-Bollywood spectacular, Mystic India; the wily canine exploits of The Stunt Dog Experience; the revamped Kingston Trio, the inimatable Arlo Guthrie, Irish dance phenomenon Murphy’s Celtic Legacy and country singer Clay Walker.”

October 30, 2014 (Poway – It was muddy. It was peaceful. History was made.  “An Aquarian Exposition: Three Days of Peace and Music” in 1969 came to be known simply as “Woodstock,” the name of the town 43 miles from Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm in the Catskills of New York. On November 22, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts presents a live tribute to Woodstock, which became the definitive nexus for the counterculture generation. The event will feature local San Diego musicians Eve Selis, Tim Flannery, Berkley Hart, Back to the Garden Band, and dozens of special guests. Surprises are guaranteed!

VICKI LAWRENCE AND MAMA: A TWO WOMAN SHOW DEC. 1

November 18, 2012 (Poway) – Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation presents Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two Woman Show on December 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Road, Poway.  Vicki Lawrence approaches everything with a sense of humor, from her eleven years with The Carol Burnett Show, her gold record for “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia and her TV series “Mama’s Family”.  She and Mama will share a double-bill for an evening of stories, songs and laughs.

ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE JOHN C. REILLY JOINS CAST OF "O BERKLEY, WHERE HART THOU?" SEPT. 22 AT POWAY PERFORMING ARTS

September 13, 2012 (Poway) -- Poway Center for the Performing Arts (POW!) Foundation is proud to announce the addition of Academy Award, Tony Award and Golden Globe nominee John C. Reilly to the cast for O Berkley Where Hart Thou?, to be staged at 8pm Saturday, September 22 at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

Reilly is best known for His offbeat character work in films like Step Brothers, Walk Hard, Talladega Nights, Magnolia, and Boogie Nights. For his role in the hit movie musical Chicago, Reilly was nominated for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. He received a Tony nomination for his work in True West on Broadway with Philip Seymour Hoffman. Musical performance is nothing new to Reilly. He performed “Mr. Cellophane” on the soundtrack to Chicago, and wrote and performed music for the soundtrack to Walk Hard, for which he received a Grammy nomination. Reilly has recorded with Jack White. In addition to local hero Tom Brosseau, Reilly has performed with Willie Nelson, Band of Horses and Jamey Johnson.
