La Mesa First United Methodist Church will host a Virtual La Mesa City Council Candidate Forum on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 6:45 p.m. The forum will be held via Zoom and moderated by Pastor Christian DeMent.

April 13, 2018 (Ramona) – Conservative candidates will be participating in a candidates forum hosted by Ramona Tea’d on Saturday, April 28 at 11:30 at the Ramona Mainstage, 626 Main Street in Ramona.

Twelve candidates for Sheriff, Judge, State Assembly, State Senate and Congress were invited.  Confirmed participants so far include Judge Gary Kreep, Vicky Rothman, Tom Palzer, Dr. Robert Newman, and Larry Wilske. Other invitees include John Cox, Travis Allen, Rep. Duncan Hunter, Bill Wells, Brian Jones, Judge Herbert Exarhos, and Steven Bailey.

You’re invited to bring your questions and comments. Doors open at 11 a.m.

May 1, 2017 (San Marcos) – Around 300 voters in California’s 50th Congressional district, which includes most of East County, will get an early look at seven potential 2018 challengers for the seat, currently held by Rep. Duncan D. Hunter.

CANDIDATES FORUM SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 5, 2016

September 19, 2016 (Poway) — The Poway Chamber of Commerce and the Green Valley Civic Association (GVCA) will host a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Painted Rock Elementary School multi-purpose room, 16711 Martincoit Road, Poway 92064. Candidates for both Poway City Council and the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) Board of Education will be in attendance to answer a variety of questions on the issues facing the community. The event is free and open to the public.

September 15, 2012 (La Mesa)--The League of Women Voters will sponsor and moderate a candidate forum for La Mesa City Council candidates in the 2012 election. The forum will be held on September 27 from 7 to 9 pm at the La Mesa City Council Chamber.
