December 13, 2023 (El Cajon) - For the second year in a row, the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District got a perfect grade of A+ from the San Diego County Taxpayers Association for the East County college district’s transparency relating to its $398 million Proposition V bond program.

CUYAMACA, GROSSMONT COLLEGES BEGIN SPRING SEMESTER IN UPBEAT MODE

 

January 26, 2015 (San Diego’s East County)--Spring semester begins Monday for more than 27,000 students at Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges amid a sense of progress as the campuses benefit from a recovering economy and a state and national focus on the value of community colleges.

GROSSMONT-CUYAMACA COLLEGE DISTRICT LEADERS HAIL PASSAGE OF PROP V

November 10, 2012 (San Diego’s East County)—Leaders in the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College are speaking out to thank voters for passing Prop V, a $398 million bond measure that passed by about 56.5 percent. 

“We’re pleased that voters understand the critical facilities and technology upgrades needed to better educate and train our students in today’s ultra-competitive world,” said Governing Board President Bill Garrett. 

Prop V will fund upgrades, repairs and renovations  to classrooms, roads, labs and infrastructure, including helping to meet the needs of our region's many veterans.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY TAXPAYERS ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS COLLEGE DISTRICT'S PROPOSITION V

October 8, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – The San Diego County Taxpayers Association, a watchdog organization that looks out for citizens’ tax dollars, has given its support to Proposition V, the $398 million bond measure being sought on the Nov. 6 ballot by the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.

EAST COUNTY COLLEGE DISTRICT APPROVES BUDGET; PREPARES FOR UNCERTAINTIES

September 17, 2012 (El Cajon) – Under darkening clouds of economic uncertainty, the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Governing Board battened down the hatches Tuesday, September 11, passing a $150.4 million budget that prepares the district to weather the storm, should Proposition 30 – the governor’s tax measure – fall short in the November election.
