WANTED: NEW TEDDY BEARS FOR SICK CHILDREN

November 7, 2015 (San Diego)--The San Diego Regional Law Enforcement Teddy Bear Drive is putting out an all-points bulletin on new, tagged, huggable stuffed bears and they are asking the public to “turn them in” at law enforcement stations and San Diego County Chick-fil-A restaurants. The stuffed animals will be donated and delivered on Dec. 8 to Rady Children’s Hospital to comfort sick and scared children.

The 25th annual drive is coordinated this year by the San Diego County Probation Department and the Coronado Police Department. Chick-fil-A, a corporate supporter, is hosting the kickoff event from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 and will donate a free chicken sandwich meal or nuggets kid’s meal to those who bring in a brand new stuffed bear with tags still attached to any of its nine area stores during the special event. Area law enforcement will have representatives there and emergency vehicle displays as well as Chick-fil-A’s “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow for photo opportunities with the public.

LA MESA POLICE DEPARTMENT’S 3RD ANNUAL TOY DRIVE

Drive to support AJ’s Kids Crane and Rady Children’s Hospital 

October 2, 2015 (La Mesa) -- The La Mesa Police Department will begin its 3rd Annual Toy Drive on October 5, 2015 which will continue through November 17, 2015. The police department is hoping to collect enough toys to fill their Bearcat Rescue Vehicle, which will deliver the toys to AJ’s Kids Crane in the Mission Valley Ikea parking lot on November 17th.

"THE BIG REVEAL" DEC. 11 AT VIEJAS TO UNVEIL HOLIDAY TOYS

 

December 7, 2013 (Alpine) – On December 11th at 6 p.m., the curtain will rise at the Viejas Dreamcatchers Lounge to reveal results of this year’s Viejas Holiday Toy Drive. The goal is to bring in donations of 10,000 toys to brighten the holidays for East County families in need.

The Viejas band of the Kumeyaay Indians joins in the 39th annual East County Toy Drive to support Stoney’s Kids and Salvation Army of East County.

LA MESA POLICE DEPARTMENT HOSTS TOY DRIVE

 

November 9, 2013 (La Mesa) – The La Mesa Police Department is hosting a toy drive on behalf of the City of La Mesa to support Rady Children’s Hospital. The collection box is located in the La Mesa Police station lobby and they will be collecting toys until November 14, 2013. The La Mesa Police Department will transport the collected toys to AJ’s crane on November 15th. All toys must be new and sealed in their original packaging.  Rady Children’s Hospital also asks that no toys include guns, religious themes, or violent games.

TEAM MEMBERS AND GUESTS FROM VIEJAS CASINO & OUTLETS DONATE OVER 7,000 TOYS TO LOCAL SALVATION ARMY

December 13, 2012  (San Diego)– As an air of excitement and anticipation hung over the 37th Annual Stoney & Rob’s Holiday Party and Fundraiser, the curtain was raised on the stage of the DreamCatcher at Viejas Casino last week to reveal more than 7,000 toys that will go to needy families in the area. The exact number this year was 7,217—more than twice the 3,000 gifts raised last year by Team Members and guests at Viejas Casino and Outlets.

GRAND OPENING OF VIEJAS ICE RINK AND HOLIDAY SHOPPING KICKS OFF AT VIEJAS OUTLETS

Stores open at midnight on Thanksgiving for an early start to "Black Friday" shopping specials

November 17, 2012 (Alpine) --Viejas Ice Rink formally opened its fifth season yesterday along with specific extended holiday hours at Viejas Outlet Center.

Now, when shopping, visitors are treated to views of excited skaters making their way around the cool, white ice rink, skating to the sounds of favorite Christmas melodies. Bedecked at one end with the traditional giant, decorated Christmas tree, the ice rink this year also has festive café lights. One of the decorative creeks nicely reflects the tree as you walk in from the east side of the Center.

VIEJAS CASINO AND OUTLETS LAUNCH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE TO SUPPORT LOCAL SALVATION ARMY

November 18, 2012 Alpine)  -- Viejas Casino & Outlets today launched its annual Holiday Toy Drive to support the local Salvation Army. With the help of Viejas Team Members and guests, the goal is to provide 5,000 toys to deserving families in San Diego and Imperial Counties. That’s up from 3,000 toys last year.
