March 25, 2017 (Logan, Utah) - Seeking some relief from its season-long losing streak, the San Diego State men’s tennis team took to the road this weekend, but came up on the short end of a 4-1 decision at 42nd-ranked Utah State Saturday in a Mountain West dual match at Sports Academy & Racquet Club. With the defeat, the Aztecs drop their sixth in a row, falling to 5-11 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Aggies raise their record to 13-7 on the year and 1-0 in the MW.

March 25, 2017 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team was unable to overcome a six-run third inning for Colorado State in a 7-4 loss Saturday at Ram Field. The Aztecs (18-12, 2-3 MW) and the Rams (14-10, 2-3 MW) now each have one win apiece in the weekend series with the final game moved up to 11 a.m. MT (10 a.m. PT) Sunday with rain in the forecast.

March 25, 2017 (Los Angeles) - No. 12 San Diego State found itself in the same position as Friday and came away with the same result in defeating 21st-ranked LMU, 7-6, at Burns Aquatics Center in Los Angeles. The decision kept the Aztecs’ Golden Coast Conference sheet clean at 4-0 (13-9 overall) and dropped the Lions to 9-12 (1-1 GCC).

March 24, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State track and field team won three events in the opening day of the 39th annual Aztec Invitational Friday.

The two-day event saw SDSU take three of the top five spots in the 100-meter hurdles open, with senior Micha Auzenne capturing gold with a 13.45 time in her season debut in the event. Sophomore Sierra Brabham-Lawrence was second (13.63), while freshman Andrenette Knight, in her first 100 hurdles collegiate showing, was third at 13.73. Kassidy Ellis, also making her 2017 debut in the event, was fifth (14.70).

March 24, 2017 (Riverside) - No. 12 San Diego State trailed by as many as three goals in the first half and received a goal from Ioli Benekou with 1:38 left in the fourth quarter to complete the rally and give the Aztecs a 9-8 road win at 25th-ranked California Baptist. SDSU is now 12-9 overall, 3-0 in the Golden Coast Conference and 22-0 all-time in GCC action.

March 24, 2017 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - San Diego State used 16 hits to down Colorado State, 9-4, in the series opener Friday at Colorado State. Down by a 4-3 margin, the Aztecs (18-11, 2-2 MW) scored the final six runs of the game and got out of multiple jams to secure the win.

March 21, 2017 (Rancho Santa Fe) - The San Diego State women's golf team capped off the 2017 SDSU March Mayhem match-play event with an eighth-place finish after dropping a trio of 3-2 decisions on Tuesday at The Farms Golf Club. The Aztecs experienced a narrow setback to Mountain West rival Fresno State in the completion of Monday's suspended second round, followed by a pair of close defeats to Old Dominion and Northwestern, respectively, in consolation play.

March 19, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State put together a seven-run sixth inning to break open a close contest and went on to defeat UNLV 13-5 Sunday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. With the win, the Aztecs captured the weekend series against the Rebels (two games to one) and improved to 13-7 (4-2 Mountain West) on the season.

March 19, 2017 (San Diego) - he San Diego State women’s tennis team fell to 37th-ranked Dartmouth College on Sunday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center. The Aztecs fell to the Big Green in close doubles matches and were unable to make up the points in singles play.

March 19, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State softball wrapped up their first series in conference play today against Fresno State, trying to avoid the sweep.  Sophomore Julie McDonald started on the mound for the Aztecs against another sophomore, Kamalani Dung, for the Bulldogs.

March 19, 2017 (Gold River, Calif.) - The San Diego State rowing team ended its final day at the Hornet Invitational on Sunday where they claimed two victories and a third place finish on Lake Natoma. The Aztecs showed their depth on Sunday, finishing in first place in both the second varsity eight and the varsity four races ahead of Loyola Marymount and Drexel University, but ended the varsity eight in third behind their two opponents.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State used a 15-hit attack along with some solid pitching as it defeated UNLV 10-5, Saturday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. With the win, the Aztecs evened the weekend series with the Rebels at a game apiece while improving their record to 12-7 overall and 3-2 in Mountain West play.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego/Irvine) - San Diego State track and field secured five individual event titles and tied the seventh-best mark in SDSU history with a win in the 4x100 relay on Saturday, competing at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Collegiate Invitational and the UC Irvine Spring Break Collegiate Classic.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State had its five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as visiting Columbia claimed a 14-11 decision in a non-conference game at Aztec Lacrosse Field. With the loss, SDSU slips to 5-3 overall while the Lions improve to 5-2 on the season.

March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped a 7-6 decision to Fresno State Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (16-11, 0-2 MW) and Bulldogs (19-9, 2-0 MW) combined for 29 hits in the game, which featured three lead changes.

March 18, 2017 (Gold River, Calif.) - The San Diego State rowing team traveled to Lake Natoma on Saturday where it finished first in six of seven races, with wins over American Athletic Conference foe Sacramento State and Saint Mary’s. The Aztecs raced eight boats in seven scheduled events today, first in morning races against the Hornets and versus the Gaels in the afternoon.

March 18, 2017 (Bakersfield) - No. 12 San Diego State completed a four-game-in-three-day stretch on Saturday by splitting two games at the Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield. The Aztecs defeated Cal State East Bay, 15-4, before falling to No. 11 Princeton, 5-4. The two decisions put SDSU’s record for the season at 11-9.
