April 22, 2017 (San Diego) - The 11th-ranked San Diego State water polo team wrapped up its regular-season schedule on a sour note Saturday, falling to No. 18 UC San Diego in the 16th annual Harper Cup game at Aztec Aquaplex as part of Senior Day festivities.

April 22, 2017 (Davis) - With its postseason fortunes on the line, the San Diego State lacrosse team picked up a huge road victory Friday night with a 13-11 triumph over UC Davis in a pivotal Mountain Pacific Sports Federation showdown at Aggie Stadium.

April 21, 2017 (Santa Barbara) - Jordan Verdon singled in the game-winning run in the top of the ninth and Chase Calabuig drove in an insurance run as San Diego State rallied to defeat UC Santa Barbara, 5-3, Friday afternoon at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. The runs broke a 3-3 deadlock and sent SDSU on the way to its 12th win in its last 14 contests.

April 21, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State emerged with its third consecutive victory Friday after recording a 4-2 conquest of Santa Clara in a non-conference dual match at Aztec Tennis Center. With the win, SDSU moves to 8-14 on the season, while the Broncos slip to 14-6 overall.

April 21, 2017 (Boise) - The San Diego State softball team had its season-long five-game winning streak snapped in a 6-4 loss Friday afternoon at Boise State. The Aztecs dropped to 23-15 overall and 7-6 in Mountain West play with the loss, while the Broncos improved to 25-15 and 7-9.

April 21, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State rowing team competed in its final dual of the season this morning, where the Aztecs finished ahead of UC San Diego, 13-0, to claim the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy in its inaugural year. SDSU entered three eight boats and two four boats in the dual against the Tritons.

April 19, 2017 (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) - San Diego State’s Fernanda Escauriza (Asunción, Paraguay) captured the individual title at the 2017 Mountain West Championship on Wednesday after shooting a 2-under-par 70 during the final round at Mission Hills Country Club. With her total, the Aztec freshman completed the event with a 54-hole total of 6-under 210 to become the program’s first-ever medalist in a conference tournament.

April 18, 2017 (Riverside) - San Diego State scored six times over the first three innings and seven Aztec pitchers limited UC Riverside to a run on five hits in a 10-1 victory over the Highlanders Tuesday night at the Riverside Sports Complex. With the win, SDSU improved to 27-11 as it won for the 11th time in its last 13 contests.

April 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State has been selected to host the first and second rounds of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee announced today. This is the fifth time SDSU and Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl have been picked to serve as a host for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

April 16, 2017 (Alberquerque) - San Diego State won its second straight on Sunday with a satisfying 4-2 triumph over New Mexico in a Mountain West dual match at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium. With the victory, the Aztecs raise their record to 7-14 on the season and 3-3 in conference play, while the Lobos slip to 10-12 overall and 3-3 in the Mountain West.

April 15, 2017 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State took up from where it left off offensively in Friday night’s win as it defeated UNLV, 16-3, Saturday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas. The win was the 10th in the last 12 games for the Aztecs, who improved to 25-11 overall and 13-5 in the Mountain West.

April 15, 2017 (San Diego) - Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) homered twice and Erica Romero (Corona, Calif.) tossed a five-hit shutout to lift San Diego State to an 8-0, six-inning win over New Mexico Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium. If was the fifth consecutive victory for the Aztecs (23-14, 7-5 MW), who swept the series with the Lobos (19-18, 5-7 MW) by a combined score of 22-3.

April 15, 2017 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State exploded for season highs in runs and hits as it defeated UNLV, 20-6, Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas. The Aztecs were in control from start to finish, scoring in each of the first five innings as they improved to 25-11 overall and 12-5 in the Mountain West. Their run total along with their 24 hits in the game were the most they have recorded in any contest this season

April 14, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State run-ruled New Mexico 10-2 in five innings for its fourth consecutive victory Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (22-14), who came into the weekend in a tie for seventh place, are now in a tie for second in the Mountain West standings at 6-5 after clinching the series over the Lobos (19-17, 5-6 MW).

April 13, 2017 (Las Vegas) - In a game marred by winds gusting to center field, San Diego State dropped the opener of its three-game series at UNLV, 7-3, Thursday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas. The Aztecs used a pair of homers to score all of their runs, but the Rebels had three of their own that helped them capture the victory.
