August 1, 2023 (San Diego) - Make a difference in a homeless pet’s life by giving them a home, family, and love in August for Clear the Shelters, a monthlong national effort to find caring homes for animals in shelters.

San Diego Humane Society currently has more than 600 adoptable animals — just waiting to give and receive love — and San Diego Humane Society is calling on the community to help us make space in their shelters.

HUMANE SOCIETY WAIVES PET ADOPTION FEES THIS WEEK FOR BETTY WHITE CHALLENGE

January 11, 2022 (San Diego) -- In honor of the #BettyWhiteChallenge that has been gaining momentum on social media, San Diego Humane Society is taking a different approach on the challenge by waiving adoption fees for all adult animals through Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.  In honor of what would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday, the organization hopes to find homes for 100 animals by Jan. 17, 2022.

HELP A PET COME HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

December 15, 2021 (San Diego) – The San Diego County Department of Animal Services needs help sending pets “Home for the Holidays.”  So they are holding events at both the Bonita shelter Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at the Carlsbad shelter Sunday from Noon to 3 p.m. to adopt out animals before Christmas.
 
Adoption fees will be waived at both locations December 18th and 19th.

DOG RESCUED FROM BOULDERS UP FOR ADOPTION TUESDAY

 

A German shepherd mix who was rescued after she was trapped between boulders for at least four days will be available for adoption Tuesday. Special adoption applications will be accepted Tuesday through 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19.

Hankering for a hound, pondering a purr monster or craving a Chihuahua?

If the idea of adopting a pet has ever crossed your mind, now is the time to do it. As part of the annual Clear the Shelters Day, County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees for all dogs, cats and rabbits on Saturday, Aug. 18.

LOOKING FOR FOREVER HOMES- SHELTER DOGS TO DREAM DOGS

 

January 22, 2013 (Alpine) -- Dream Dogs has a 4 month-old, cuddly Maltipoo female puppy (pictured at left). We also have a 1.5 year-old, 6 lb. Yorkie/Cairn Terrier that would make a wonderful friend to a loving owner (see picture on website and Facebook).
