OLYMPIC COMMITTEE RULES MAY PRECLUDE BINATIONAL OLYMPICS HERE; MAYOR FILNER "UNDAUNTED", SEEKS RULE CHANGE



Media outlets reported today that the International Olympic Committee rules may prohibit a joint bid by the U.S. and Mexico to host the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in San Diego and Tijuana.

In response Mayor Bob Filner released the following statement. “We are undaunted by this statement from the International Olympic Committee. We don’t have all the answers right now."

MAYOR FILNER TOUTS ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN HIS FIRST 30 DAYS

March 17, 2013 (San Diego) – This week, Mayor Bob Filner celebrated his 100th day in office as the 35th Mayor of San Diego by releasing a list of accomplishments in his first 30 days.  

To the delight of some and the dismay of others, the new Mayor is shaking things up at City Hall and challenging the powers-that-be as he strives to fulfill his campaign promises for change.
