Goal of a new library still a long way from fulfillment

That was the message of the library branch manager Cheryl Cosart, who made a presentation on its services and programs May 10 to the City Council.

SANTEE ESTABLISHES COOL ROOM DURING HEAT ADVISORY

 

September 15, 2014 (Santee) - The City of Santee today set up a “Cool Room” at San Diego Christian College, 200 Riverview Parkway, across from Trolley Square, to assist residents without air conditioning during the heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

SHARP OFFERS FREE HEALTHCARE SCREENINGS IN SANTEE

 

June 12, 2013 (Santee) – Sharp Healthcare will be providing free health screenings in East County. These screenings could help prevent heart problems, diabetes and other risk factors.  The screenings will only take about 15 minutes and are offered on eight different dates this summer.

The screenings will measure your cholesterol, blood sugar, body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure. Sharp Healthcare will also provide personalized strategies to improve your overall health and well-being. No appointment is needed. All adults over the age of 18 are welcome to participate.
