February 25, 2017 (San Diego) - SDSU women’s basketball returned home after some tough losses on the road against UNLV and Fresno State.  Today at home against the Colorado State Rams was their chance to turn things around.  The Aztecs wore pink on their jerseys today in their annual Play4Kay game to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.  Yow was the former head coach of North Carolina State women's basketball before she passed away from breast cancer in January of 2009.

February 24, 2017 (San Diego) - After a tough loss on Wednesday night to Fresno State, the Aztecs men's basketball team heads to Colorado State for a Saturday night matchup.  Coach Steve Fisher sat down with the media this morning.

February 22, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State men’s basketball looked to win their fourth game in a row and go to 17-10 (9-6 in MW play) against 16-11 (8-7 in Mountain West play) Fresno State and sweep the season series with the Bulldogs tonight at Viejas Arena.

February 22, 2017 (Fresno) - San Diego State women’s basketball battled Fresno State until the clock ran out, shutting out the Bulldogs from a field goal for over six minutes in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell in a defensive juggernaut, 59-50, against its Mountain West foe Fresno State Wednesday night in Save Mart Center.

February 21, 2017 (San Diego) - Aztecs men's basketball has won three straight.  Again.  They have only won four straight once this season.  They're looking to do it again tomorrow night against Fresno State at home.  Coach Steve Fisher, junior guard Trey Kell and junior forward Malik Pope sat down with the media today at the team's weekly press conference.

February 18, 2017 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State women’s basketball and UNLV each made 10 3-pointers but the Rebels secured its victory on a better overall shooting percentage, as the Aztecs fell in a Mountain West contest, 80-62, on Saturday in Cox Pavilion.

February 17, 2017 (San Diego) - After winning two in a row, SDSU men's basketball returns home to face UNLV on Sunday.  Coach Steve Fisher, sophomore guard Jeremy Hemsley and junior guard Trey Kell called a press conference today to talk to the media after their big turnaround.  The Aztecs are 15-10 overall and 7-6 in Mountain West play.

February 15, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s basketball took the lead in its Mountain West contest against Utah State just 16 seconds in and never looked back, topping the Aggies, 66-59, on Wednesday evening at Steve Fisher Court in Viejas Arena.

February 14, 2017 (San Diego) - After a win on Sunday at home against Nevada, Aztecs men's basketball heads out on the road tomorrow night to Logan, Utah to face Utah State.  Assistant coach Brian Dutcher and senior forward Matt Shrigley sat down with the media at today's press conference.

Joining them were the boys of summer:  baseball head coach Mark Martinez and senior starting pitcher Brett Seeburger.  This year's Aztecs feature four players from East County high schools--Hunter Stratton (junior catcher, Grossmont), Jordan Verdon (sophomore infielder, Granite Hills), Kenny LaPierre (another sophomore from Granite Hills and an Alpine native.  Right-handed pitcher) and Avery Tuck, a freshman outfielder from Steele Canyon.  The Aztecs open their season on Friday at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

February 11, 2017 (Reno, Nev.) - San Diego State women’s basketball was able to keep their Mountain West game with Nevada within reach for three quarters, but could not counteract a stupendous fourth quarter by the Wolfpack, dropping its game at Nevada, 88-65.

February 8, 2017 (San Diego) - Aztecs women’s basketball has suffered four straight losses in Mountain West conference play  Tonight they had another chance to redeem themselves at home against San Jose State, who they lost a close 81-80 overtime game to in January.

McKynzie Fort, who notched her second-career double-double, became the 21st member of the program’s 1,000-point club during the game as she matched career-highs with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
