Jacumba accident

RESCUE IN JACUMBA

November 12, 2011 (Jacumba) - A white truck plunged 50 feet into the Carrizo Gorge off of I-8 at Jacumba.  The accident was reported at 8:18 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol website, people are trapped inside and a medical helicopter has been requested.

YUMA MAN KILLED IN JACUMBA ROLL-OVER ACCIDENT

 

March 30, 2011 (Jacumba) – The San Diego Medical Examiner has identified Gregory E. Gates, 72, as the driver who was killed March 28 in an accident on westbound I-8 in Jacumba. His vehicle crossed traffic lanes, struck an embankment and rolled over.

EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT CLAIMS MAN’S LIFE IN JACUMBA

 

December 5, 2010 (Jacumba) – Bill George Amantidis, 41, a medical courier, was found by a bystander lying in the road near a crashed Honda CRV on westbound I-8, just east of Jacumba at 5:52 this morning. Cal Fire and El Cajon CHP officers responded and confirmed death at the scene from blunt force trauma.

JACUMBA ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED

July 14, 2010 (Jacumba) -- Martha Lidia Jimenez, 54, of Yuma, Arizona has been identified by the San Diego Medical Examiner's office as the driver of a Nissan Sentra that struck a Ford F150 on Interstate 8 near Carrizo Gorge Road on July 10. Her car rolled over multilple times landing on the center divide.

JACUMBA ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE OF MAN WITHOUT SEAT BELT

 

December 22, 2009 (Jacumba) – John Carl Bauld, 47, died from injuries sustained in an accident on eastbound I-8 west of Jacumba Road on December 20th. Bauld, a passenger, died after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rolled down an embankment.
