SAN DIEGO'S DINE OUT FOR THE CURE: EAST COUNTY RESTAURANTS UNITE TO RAISE CRITICAL FUNDS FOR BREAST CANCER SERVICES OCT. 18

October 2, 2018 (San Diego) - Susan G. Komen San Diego (Komen San Diego), the largest nonprofit funder of breast cancer research outside of the U.S. government, will hold its sixth annual Dine Out for the Cure® on Thursday, Oct. 18. The community fundraiser will take place at local restaurants, bakeries and coffeehouses across our region, including numerous East County eateries. Each restaurant will donate 10 to 25 percent of their sales to support free mammograms, financial assistance, breast cancer research and public policy. Komen San Diego hopes to raise $35,000 this year.

BREAST CANCER WALK AT LAKE MURRAY OCTOBER 28

October 18, 2012 (La Mesa) – The Debbie Berton Walk to end breast cancer will be October 28 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Lake Murray, 5540 Kiowa Drive, La Mesa.  The public is welcome to participate in this community event.

The walk is a relaxed 1.5 miles starting from the baseball fields at Lake Murray.  Admission is not required, but with a minimum $20 tax deductible advance donation a T-shirt is provided.  Two additional registration levels are also available.  Register online at www.TheDebbieBertonWalk.com by midnight October 25.  Walk-in registrations and donations are welcome the day of the event.

Proceeds benefit Komen San Diego fund for breast cancer cure

SAN DIEGO, May 5, 2010 – Sports and stilettos will unite at San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Second Annual Women’s Football Academy benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, San Diego on Saturday, June 5.  SDSU’s head football coach, Brady Hoke, and his staff will teach women how to be football savvy.
