December 20, 2010 (San Diego)—The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for all of San Diego County through Wednesday afternoon. Rainfall rates of more than an inch per hour are possible, particularly in the mountains.

“A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation,” the National Weather Service warns.
