April 17, 2016 (Spring Valley) – A black Mercedes Benz pulled up alongside a Chevrolet Malibu on State Route 125 and opened fire around 1:30 this morning, the California Highway Patrol reports.

CALTRANS CLEARS WAY FOR HIGHWAY 94-125 CONNECTOR

January 27, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) -- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has determined that a proposed direct interchange to connect State Routes 94 and 125 would have no significant environmental impact.

DRIVER KILLED IN HIGH SPEED CRASH IN SPRING VALLEY

January 11, 2016 (Spring Valley) — A 30-year-old El Cajon woman lost control of the Honda Civic that she was driving westbound on State Route 94 at 2:35 p.m. today and crashed down an embankment at the State Route 125 junction, striking a tree.  The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

FATAL FOUR- -CAR CRASH ON 125

 

 

February 14, 2014 (San Diego’s East County)—A Valentine’s Day crash at 1:44 p.m. today claimed the life of a 37-year-old San Diego man. According to the CHP, he was driving a Jaguar at high speed on State Route 125 northbound near San Miguel Ranch Road when he missed a curve and collided with the center median guardrail, tearing open the left side of his vehicle.

PRIVATE PLANE LANDS SAFELY ON STATE ROUTE 125

March 22, 2013 (Otay) -- This morning at 11:05, California Highway Patrol communications began receiving reports that a small private plane had been forced to land on the freeway after experiencing mechanical problems.  CHP officers responded to these reports and located the Cessna 150 on the right shoulder of State Route 125, near the Otay River Bridge.

CALTRANS ANNOUNCES DETOUR ON STATE ROUTE 125 FOR NEXT MONTH

January 19, 2011 (San Diego's East County) -- Motorists traveling on Mission Gorge Road to southbound State Route 125 in Santee will lose one lane for the next four weeks, Cal-Trans has announced.  Southbound traffic will be directed along a shoulder to the future 52/125 southbound onramp starting Thursday morning at 5 a.m.
