March 26, 2018 (El Cajon) -- The City of El Cajon celebrated the 29th annual Arbor Day at Kennedy Park on Saturday, March 24th at 8 a.m.  During the ceremony, the City received its 21st Tree City USA award presented by CAL FIRE.  There was a large turnout by members of the community, including the Lions Club from Granite Hills High School and Key Club from Grossmont High to plant trees at Kennedy Park.

POLICE SEEK VANDALS WHO LEFT HATE SPEECH GRAFFITI AT KENNEDY PARK

September 4, 2012 (El Cajon)—El Cajon Police seek information on whoever sprayed graffiti, including hate speech, on buildings at Kennedy Park on East Madison Avenue in El Cajon.

The graffiti was found and reported yesterday morning (Monday) by a park visitor who said he saw four people leaving the park at 4 a.m., when he found the wet paint.  According to the witness, there were two men wearing all-white clothing and two women, one carrying a large duffel bag, ECM news partner 10 News reports.

CITY OF EL CAJON 4TH OF JULY PICNIC & FIREWORKS!

 
June 23, 2012 (El Cajon) -- The fun begins at 12:00 p.m. with the annual 4th of July Picnic at Kennedy Park, followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.  Kennedy Park, a smoke and alcohol free park, is located at 1675 East Madison Avenue in El Cajon. Once again Waste Management has generously partnered with the City of El Cajon to provide fireworks for residents in the East County.

KENNEDY SKATEPARK ALLOWING BMX BIKES AND SCOOTERS

 

 

 

 

May 8,2011 (El Cajon) --Kennedy Skatepark will now allow BMX Bikes and Scooters in the Skatepark. Ages 7 and up will be admitted.  Helmets, knee pads ,and elbow pads are required. All park users will be required to purchase a new Skatepark ID Card for $5.00. Kennedy Skatepark is located at 1675 East Madison Avenue in El Cajon.
