ALPINE FIRE HOSTS COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) TRAINING STARTING MARCH 1

January 25, 2014 (Alpine) – Alpine residents, do  you  want to be prepared for a disaster in your community?

 

Alpine Fire Department is now accepting applications for its Community Emergency Response Team. The academy will begin March 1, 2014 from 9am-12pm every other Saturday for 10 sessions.

DOLORES CANIZALES TAKES OVER THE REIGNS AT THE POWAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

 
August 4, 2012 (Poway) -- The Poway Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Dolores Canizales has joined the staff at the Chamber as President and CEO. She was identified from a process that drew from extensive networking contacts developed by the Poway Chamber Board. The Board invited applications from suitable individuals from their list of contacts. From a group of 10 vetted finalists and 3 interviewed candidates, Canizales was the unanimous top choice according to Poway Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Jim Crute. Canizales replaces former president Luanne Hulsizer, who resigned in May.

March 29, 2012 (San Diego) -- He was renamed Chance hoping that he would have a second opportunity at life. He survived his gun-shot wounds and  now Chance, a retriever mix, got to go home to a new bed, new toys, and new family.

YOUTH OPPORTUNITY ON THE CITY OF LA MESA’S ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY COMMISSION

 

 

May 22, 2011 (La Mesa) --The City is currently looking for a youth representative to serve on the Environmental Sustainability Commission. Applicants must live within the city limits of La Mesa and not be more than 21 years of age. Applications may be obtained by accessing the City of La Mesa website, www.cityoflamesa.com or from the City Clerk’s office in La Mesa City Hall, 8130 Allison Avenue, during normal business hours.

The purpose of the Commission is to advise the City Council on how the actions and policies of the City may preserve and enhance the quality of La Mesa’s environment, address the effects of climate change and assist in the identification of measures that will improve environmental sustainability in La Mesa and the region.
